Mazak’s INTEGREX i-100H ST multi-tasking center, engineered for complex applications, is a small-footprint machine that provides simultaneous 5-axis capabilities along with high precision and throughput.

For shortening part cycle times, the machine combines the abilities of a high-powered turning center and full-function machining center to produce small and medium-sized workpieces in single setup done in one operations. Its lower turret also allows manufacturers to simultaneously machine with two tools.

From low-speed, heavy-duty cutting to high-speed cutting a wide range of materials, the machine main and second spindle headstocks feature 6” chucks mounted on 11kW, 6 000rpm integrated spindle motors that handle a wide range of cutting applications. For 52mm diameter bar capacity, the main spindle has a 61mm diameter through hole.

A vertically mounted milling spindle provides 24kW, 12 000rpm and a rotating B-axis range of -30 degree to +240 degree. A roller cam drive for the B-axis offers higher accuracy and rigidity with zero backlash. A 38-tool (74 and 112 tool optional) magazine allows for fast tool changes and provides ample support for continuous part processing.

The parallel-type 12-tool lower drum turret accommodates 20mm turning tools or a 32mm diameter boring bar. Optional rotary tool functionality on the lower turret allows simultaneous machining with the milling spindle on a 10 000rpm, 5kW drive motor.

The INTEGREX i-100H ST provides a Y-axis travel of 210mm and vertical X-axis of 535mm. Secondary X-axis travel is 210mm, and secondary Z-axis travel is 900mm. The machine accommodates parts up to 600mm in diameter, with a maximum machining length of 850mm.

The INTEGREX i-100HS also uses Mazak’s latest control technology, the MAZATROL SmoothAi CNC, for high productivity during the most demanding machining operations. It offers the shortest possible machining cycle times, especially in fine-increment programs for simultaneous 5-axis operations and free-form die-mould machining. The control’s wide variety of advanced programming functions provide ease of use and help ensure high-speed, high-accuracy machining performance.
