Secant Engineering, based in Springs, Gauteng was established in 1998 and has over the years endeavoured to become a fully-fledged general engineering shop. The services that the company now offers include CNC machining, laser cutting, CNC bending, fabrication, cutting, welding and robotic welding and finishing solutions to its clients. Having started off as a company that just offered CNC turning and milling operations, in 2006 Secant Engineering made its first venture into the fabricating arena and also offer fiber laser cutting of tubes and profiles.
Secant’s main strength lies in its broad technology base. These technologies are supported by highly skilled people and well equipped facilities and the latest and best machinery to support the technology. Having this broad technology base of operation that cuts, forms and welds castings, blocks, sheet metal, plate, tube, pipe and structural beams is a great advantage and allows the company to offer more than what the usual service centre or general machining shop offers.
Design department
Orders of smaller lot sizes and the demand for shorter lead times led the company to pay attention to its quoting and design departments both for the forming and fabrication side. This department uses SolidWorks, MasterCAM and Amada software.
Secant Engineering have an around the clock dedicated sales team consisting of representatives attending to your requirements on site as well as an internal sales team who attend to your day to day quotes and orders.
