DMG MORI, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of CNC machine tools, has begun its next chapter with its association with South Africa. On the 1st April 2025 the company strengthened its presence by establishing its own office in South Africa with DMG MORI South Africa (Pty) Ltd officially opening its doors in Bedfordview, Gauteng.

With the launch of this new office, DMG MORI is leveraging its well-established market presence and extensive regional footprint to position itself as a trusted partner. This strategic move ensures customers have easy, timely, and cost-effective access to the company’s wide range of services and products. Worldwide more than 13 500 staff are working for the machine tool manufacturer. This exciting new chapter in South Africa marks the mutually agreed end of the long-term dealership agreement.

With more than 20 years’ experience in the industry, Makgai will lead the aftersales and spare parts operations in South Africa from the Bedfordview office together with a qualified and dedicated team.
