United Grinding Group has announced the appointment of Sandro Bottazzo as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Fritz Studer AG, a Swiss manufacturer specialising in precision cylindrical grinding machines. Bottazzo, who has been a key figure at Studer for over two decades, will also take on the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors, further solidifying his leadership in the company.

Bottazzo’s appointment marks a significant step in the continued development of the United Grinding Group, especially with his extensive background within the organisation. Having been with the company for more than 25 years, he brings a wealth of experience to the CEO role. Before this appointment, Bottazzo served as the Managing Director and Chief Sales Officer (CSO) of Studer since 2018, contributing to the company’s growth and success. His expertise in sales, customer relations, and strategic management will play a vital role in guiding Studer’s future endeavours.

In addition to Bottazzo’s promotion, Jens Bleher, the outgoing CEO and Chairman of the Board of Fritz Studer AG, has been appointed to the United Grinding Group’s Board of Directors as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Bleher has been at the helm of Studer since 2018 and his transition to the broader United Grinding Group leadership team will provide continuity and a wealth of industry knowledge.
