The S100, a universal internal cylindrical grinding machine, is a machine that can be equipped with up to two internal grinding spindles or one internal and one external spindle. It is operated by the Fanuc 0i-TF PLUS controller, together with the proven Studer operating system. It also has a synchronous motor that drives the grease-lubricated internal and external belt spindles. In addition to a fixed wheel head, it can be equipped with a manual wheel head with a 2.5-degree Hirth and, in its optimum configuration, with an automatic wheel head with 1 degree Hirth.

The machine also has the option of automation, which includes a loading interface and an automatic sliding door, allowing for automatic operation and the production of large series. Typical workpieces for production on the S100 include collets for toolmaking, bearing rings, ball bearings and cylinders, as well as hydraulic control valves in small series.

The S100 is ideal for a wide range of internal, face, and external grinding applications. It has a workpiece length (including clamping device) of 550mm, a swing diameter of 425mm, internal grinding diameter of 300mm, internal grinding length of 200mm and the diameter of the internal grinding wheel is 63mm.

Thanks to the wheel head with multiple grinding spindles and QuickSet for quick setup, it significantly reduces setup and resetting costs. The S100 is also easy and quick to control, with ergonomically arranged operating elements and StuderPictogramming.
