This year marks the 12th time that KwaZulu-Natal-based Somta Tools will participate at the international metalworking exhibition.

Somta Tools will once again be flying the South African flag by exhibiting at the internationally renowned EMO exhibition, which is taking place from 18 to 23 September 2023 in Hannover, Germany. Having missed the 2021 exhibition due to Covid-19 restrictions, Somta is looking forward to returning to EMO Hannover – the world’s premier trade fair for the metalworking sector, bringing together manufacturers and users from many countries.

This year will see Somta exhibiting as part of the OSG Europe booth, which is a first for the company since becoming a part of the OSG Group in 2016.

Under the OSG group, Somta Tools has grown its export market of Somta branded product, with the full range of Somta’s portfolio stocked in Brussels and Istanbul and shipped daily to customers through OSG Europe’s online trading portal. In essence, all Somta branded product worldwide is now sold through the OSG international sales offices and supported by OSG sales engineers. This development in recent years has yielded a substantial growth in sales, and the potential for additional growth in the coming years is exciting.

Somta Tools will be exhibiting some of the new improvements made to its well-known HSS tooling ranges, which have been enhanced with the support of OSG to provide increased performance and value for the customer.
