Quaser have launched the MV 234 CNC vertical machining centre. The MV 234 has a 2 210 by 762 mm table and an X-axis travel of 2 040 mm, which the company says is ideal for machine shops specialising in large mould and die manufacture or for those requiring a pallet-changing machining centre.

The table has a load capacity of 2 000 kilograms, while there’s generous Y-axis travel of 762 mm and Z-axis movement of 661 mm.

The MV 234 features the unique Quaser spindle greasing system that supports 30 000 hours of machining before replenishment is required. It can be supplied with 40 or 50 taper spindle options and with controls from Fanuc, Siemens or Heidenhain.

Tool magazine capacities are 48/60 (40 taper) or 30/40 (50 taper), with through-spindle coolant offered at a standard 20 bar – upgradeable to 50 bar.

A range of options is available for the machine, such as an ATC door, linear encoders, spindle oil chiller and work probes.
