The 32nd Japan International Machine Tool Fair to take place in Tokyo, Japan from 5 to 10 November 2024.
The Japan Machine Tool Builders’ Association (JMTBA) and Tokyo Big Sight Inc. will hold JIMTOF 2024, the 32nd Japan International Machine Tool Fair at Tokyo Big Sight for six days from Tuesday, November 5 to Sunday November 10, 2024.
JIMTOF, one of the world’s largest international technology shows, brings together cutting-edge technologies and products. The fair serves as a comprehensive showcase of products from across the manufacturing spectrum, ranging from machine tools to accessories and equipment of all kinds used in the metalworking industry.
Reaffirming its role as an embodiment of the tradition of machine tool technology in Japan and as a showcase for state-of-the-art technologies that will reshape the production floors of the future, the tradeshow’s organisers are approaching this year’s event with renewed vigour to promote the importance of manufacturing. Paraphrasing this the theme for this year’s exhibition is ‘Technologies passed down to the future offers unlimited possibilities’.
As an exhibition that introduces state-of-the-art machine tools earlier than any other exhibitions in its industry, JIMTOF is recognised on the same level as EMO in Europe, IMTS in America, and CIMT in China.
JIMTOF is one of the largest machine tool exhibitions in Asia and is organised by the Japan Machine Tool Builders’ Association and Tokyo Big Sight Inc. This year it will be held at the usual venue – Tokyo Big Sight exhibition grounds.
JIMTOF has been held biennially for over 50 years since 1962. Products of a variety of industries including metal cutting machine tools, metal forming machine tools, machine tool accessories, tools for machines (cutting tools and wear-resistant tools), diamond and CBN tools, grinding wheels and abrasives, gears and gear devices, oil hydraulic, pneumatic and water hydraulic machinery, precision measuring machines and instruments, optical measuring instruments, testing machinery and CAD/CAM, among others, will be exhibited, and the latest information of products and technologies will be shown to the visitors.
On display will be the latest technology and equipment from Amada, DMG MORI, Okuma, Fanuc Corporation, Kanzaki Kokyukoki, Nakamura-Tome, Hamai, Mitsui Seiki Kogyo, OKK, Yamazaki Mazak, Yasda Precision TYools, JTekt Corporation, Makino Milling, Citizen, Mitutoyo, Mitsubishi, Kawasaki, Kitagawa, Matsuura, Nikon, Sodick, Kitamura, Brother, Enshu, Fuji Machines, Howa, Ikegai, Murata, Takisawa, Tsugami and Yasda – all machine manufacturers that are Japanese owned.
All the big names in tooling and metrology will have stands including Sandvik Coromant, Iscar, TaeguTec, Mitsubishi Materials, OSG Corporation, Hexagon, Tungaloy, Kennametal, Zeiss and Renishaw.
In recent years over 100 000 visitors have attended JIMTOF. JIMTOF 2024 will be using all of the venues of the entire Tokyo Big Sight, with an exhibition area of 118 540m² and will be held with 1 019 exhibitors and a record number of 5 726 booths.
The special concurrent exhibition under the theme, “Additive Manufacturing Area in JIMTOF 2024” will take place on the first floor of the South Hall.
