FlexxCNC enables machine shops to integrate Universal Robot cobots onto any machine in its shop.
Flexxbotics has announced that it has expanded the functionality of its FlexxCNC cobot-to-CNC communications interface to include compatibility with Hurco, Siemens and Heidenhain controllers.
The FlexxCNC interface reportedly enables machine shops to integrate Universal Robot cobots onto any machine in its shop in half a day. FlexxCNC forms an important part of the company’s FlexxTend complete automated machine tending solution.
FlexxTend serves machine shops looking to adopt CNC automation but are busy getting parts out of the door. FlexxTend can be designed to the user’s specification and its team can be onsite integrating, validating and training six weeks later.
“We are pleased to expand the FlexxCNC library to support even more controller types and strengthen the FlexxTend platform,” Tyler Bouchard, co-founder and CEO, says. “We are seeing strong demand for FlexxTend from machine shops across North America that are ready to automate their CNCs to either solve the labour shortage or increase throughput.”
FlexxCNC is compatible with Fanuc, Mazak, DMG MORI, Mitsubishi, Okuma, Brother and others.
