The largest machinery and equipment fair in Latin America, FEIMEC, takes place in May 2024. With a record number of exhibitor brands, participating countries, and innovations in technology, equipment, and services for the industry, the event promises days of intense programming and a wealth of qualified content, networking, and business opportunities.
The central theme of this year’s edition will be the neo-industrialisation of the Brazilian industry, linked to the advance in the fulfilment of the goals of the National Policy for Industrial Decarbonisation (PNDI), formulated by the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services (MDIC), through the Low Carbon Industry Technical Committee (CTIBC).
As a major catalyst for innovation and technical information focused on the sector, the fourth edition of FEIMEC – International Machinery and Equipment Fair, the most comprehensive machinery and equipment fair in Latin America, will be held at the São Paulo Expo Exhibition Center, in São Paulo (SP), from May 7th to 11th, 2024.
An initiative of ABIMAQ (Brazilian Association of Machinery and Equipment Industry), with promotion and organisation by Informa Markets Latam, the event will bring together over 1 100 exhibitor brands from 37 countries, in addition to Brazil (20% more than the previous edition), presenting, in an exhibition area of over 80 000m² (32% larger than the previous edition), the latest releases and the most modern solutions that will give visitors a privileged view of the trends that will shape the future of the industry.
“This is an ideal environment for networking and business, with all the latest developments and trends in the sector, along with many attractions and high-quality content,” explains the show director of the event, Liliane Bortoluci. According to her, the organisation expects to gather over 65 000 visitors, buyers from small, medium, and large industries, in four days.
Confirmed Attractions
With the aim of creating an environment conducive to economic, technological, sustainable, and professional development of the sector, FEIMEC 2024 will present a series of exclusive attractions and experiences for visitors.
Lectures, workshops, and the manufacturing booth are aimed at those seeking to enhance their business knowledge and strategies will be conducted with the presence of renowned experts and leaders who will lead lectures and workshops on critical themes, challenges, and opportunities for the global industrial scenario.
The Ideas Park will be a space dedicated to relevant content about the industrial sector, for the professional updating of participants. In this edition, the environment is supported by renowned sector players, such as SENAI, FUNDEP, CERKLOG, BIRMIND, MESSES, and others.
Another attraction of the event will be the Intralogistics and Cargo Handling Arena, designed to be a Mega Solutions Store. The Arena will feature a 1 000m² showroom with equipment, brand exhibitions, and current and differentiated content, focusing on various sectors of the economy such as: Industry 4.0; Agribusiness; Food and beverages; Wholesalers; Retailers; Export and Multimodality, among others. Two complete lines will be set up with the objective of giving visitors the opportunity to experience end-to-end logistics 4.0, interacting with the main business solutions, all in one place. Test drives of the equipment will also be available for qualified professionals. The presentations of the Intralogistics and Cargo Handling Arena are curated by the Logistics Panel, a reference portal in the sector, providing an ideal environment for the exchange of experiences and knowledge among professionals in the field.
FEIMEC TECH, on the other hand, is an initiative aimed at promoting and disseminating content focused on technology applied in the industry. In this first edition, the curation and mentoring of the project are by the Santa Catarina Association of Technology Companies (ACATE) and involve: an exhibition area (institutional), exhibition of sponsoring startups, pre-scheduled business rounds, lecture schedule, pitch for talks, digital content throughout the year. The project also includes the 1st “Industry Startup Award,” which aims to encourage technological and innovative development in the industrial sector.
Welding
The welding and cutting industry play a fundamental role in the construction and maintenance of essential structures worldwide. It is a sector that demands constant technological improvement and innovation. With this in mind, FEIMEC 2024 expands the space dedicated to the theme and increases the number of exhibitors focused on the sector.
The event will also feature the Welding & Cutting Island, where visitors can get up close to technical and practical concepts of the welding and cutting industry. The island will provide practical and theoretical experiences, involving new technologies and industrial solutions, aimed at industry professionals, students, technicians, and engineers.
Industry Xperience Digital Journey
To complement the experience, Industry Xperience is the digital platform of the FEIMEC and EXPOMAFE events that offers connection with the industrial segment 365 days a year, through content, networking, and business opportunities.
The platform offers, around the macro themes management, traceability, production control, new technologies, intelligent machines, and connectivity, digital events such as Talk Shows with influencers, interviews with key players in the sector, debates with female representatives leading the digital transformation in their companies, success stories, and a video web series demonstrating, in an uncomplicated manner, the benefits of technology in the industry, post-event.

BMS expands Brazilian industry’s international visibility at FEIMEC 2024
Image Project will see the visit of international journalists to booths of companies supported by the programme and is set to happen during the most important event of the machinery and equipment sector in Latin America. Intended to expand Brazil’s international visibility as a supplier of machinery and equipment, BMS’s (Brasil Machinery Solutions) Image Project is a result of a partnership between ABIMAQ (The Brazilian Machinery Builders’ Association) and ApexBrasil (The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency). It will promote the visit of international journalists to booths of associated companies that will participate in FEIMEC 2024.
For this edition of the fair, three specialised journalists from South Africa, United States, and Mexico are invited. Over the five days of the event, they will get to know the Brazilian companies, the sector, and the sectorial project itself. Eight companies will participate in the initiative, namely: AZ Armaturen; Dosivac; Eletrothermo; Ergomat; HB Ar Comprimido; Mademil; Newton and Ringfeder Henfel.
